On Tuesday 30th March around 8am I discovered that my Microsoft Outlook wouldn’t load on my desktop computer. This is an essential part of my business as it’s the portal for all my emails.
I emailed the Northstar IT Helpdesk to alert them to the problem and carried on working on my mobile phone instead.
Twenty minutes or so later I looked up at my desktop screen to find my mouse doing its own thing and one of their operatives fixing the problem remotely.
Sure enough the problem was fixed and I was up and running again. No time wasting with me trying to fix the problem myself sourcing answers from Google or YouTube etc, quite simply sorted very quickly and efficiently.
I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Christian and his team for an excellent response to my problem which was solved quickly and painlessly.
I am so glad that I am on a monthly support contract with Northstar. It is an essential part of my business as is their ongoing support.

We are a small care home in an older building and needed a full IT upgrade in 2019. The guys at Northstar went above and beyond to help us get the system we needed, along with reliable Wi-Fi for the staff, visitors and residents.
Recently we needed some work done to “hardwire” one of our PC’s that was struggling with the Wi-Fi, due to the thick walls and position of the office, and Artur and Myles went the extra mile (pardon the pun) to run the wires so they are almost invisible- going through two walls into cupboards and making sure nothing was ugly or obvious. Very impressive. We also got another Wi-Fi booster set up at the far end of the home, which is also very discrete and will help us a lot when we eventually go on to an electronic care management system where the staff will use handheld devices to record residents care via the internet.
No system is without teething problems or the occasional glitch but having IT support on hand from these guys (the Northstar Gurus) has made my life so much easier, no problem is too small and they never make you feel like you are being a nuisance. Excellent support and communication all round, would highly recommend!
