Captain Christian red alert!

Why you don’t want ransomware (Part 2) – IT Support Episode 79

Ransomware is something you do not want in your business.

Whether it sounds obvious or not, ransomware is definitely something you want to steer well and truly clear of.

If you’re really clued up, you’re going to have some protection for it on your business insurance and you’re going to also make sure that you’ve got all your data backed up regularly into the cloud as well.

You want to make sure it’s automated and about as foolproof as it can get. The bit that many people fail to appreciate is if you do get a ransomware attack on your business is what the reinstatement time is going to be.

So even if you’ve got everything backed up, business interruption insurance and cyber protection you’ve still got the time to put everything back together again. So what’s that analogy that we often hear “prevention is better than cure”.

So it’s better to not get it in the first place, than clean up afterwards. So, if you don’t already have it, we’d certainly recommend that you deploy some kind of ransomware protection on your computer network and to back up how seriously we’re taking it, we’ve included our computer network on this protection too.

So if you’ve got any questions, make sure you fire them at your trusted IT support partner.

Until next time…
