MEN WALK ON MOON

Captain Christian and Harvey the boxer dog in the Northstar IT Space Rocket.

You might recognise the headline I’ve borrowed for today’s blog – the same one that adorned the front page of the New York Times in July 1969. Considering the technological constraints of that era, it’s mind-boggling to contemplate a room of computers with less power than an iPhone clock successfully navigating a 356,000km voyage to the moon.

And I’m not exaggerating about the iPhone clock. In fact, a Wi-Fi router or a modern pocket calculator boasts more power than the technology that orchestrated the lunar landing 54 years ago. Quite bonkers, isn’t it?

Yes, completely bonkers, Captain. 🙄 Now, what’s your point?

Ah, yes, my point. Hold on to your service cap because here it comes…

Reflecting on the lunar landing highlights the rapid pace of technological development, which, in my opinion, is a positive thing. However, the challenge with advancing technology is the accompanying risks for business owners like you. As computers evolve, so do cyber threats that jeopardize your data’s security—whether through loss, theft, or unauthorized alteration.

With that said, if you want to ensure your computer safely takes you from A to B, it’s wise to have security protection implemented by your very own mission control.

Point taken. So what’s next?

If you want to safeguard your essential data from falling into the wrong hands, explore our Cyber Security service or contact us here.

Until the next time. 🌕👩🚀
